As the ECB begins its wide-ranging review of English cricket, The Incider today launches a major survey of Somerset fans to gauge their views on the domestic game and the much debated move to T20 franchises.
The big question: is the county game competitive and fit for purpose or long overdue for change and at least partly responsible for England’s early exit from the World Cup?
On Friday, in an in-depth analysis for The Incider, we explored that question, the options being considered by the ECB and the possible implications for Somerset and other counties without a Test Match ground. You can read our exclusive feature here: https://www.thein-cider.co.uk/viva-la-franchise/#more-2255
But now it’s time for YOU to have your say. You can complete our simple survey by clicking on this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SZF6Q5H
All responses are anonymous and we won’t ask for names or any other personal information – just your views.
We’ll keep the survey open until the end of March go give as many people as possible the opportunity to have their say.
We’ll continue to explore the issues on The Incider while the survey is open, starting with a special blog from Dan Kingdom later this week.
If you’d also like to contribute to the debate by writing a blog on franchises or any other aspect of the ECB review, please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to hear from you.
Once the survey results are in, we’ll post them in full on The Incider. And if we get a large response, we’ll share the results with the ECB to let them know how you, the fans of Somerset cricket, feel about the future of our domestic game.
