August 2014 player of the month: Peter Trego

Tregs August 2014Peter Trego was voted The Incider’s player of the month for August by the club’s supporters therefore winning the bottle of champagne. Award sponsors Somerset County Sports finally caught up with the incredibly busy Tregs at the County Ground and the picture below shows Richard Brice of SCS presenting the award.

The ever popular all-rounder from Weston-super-Mare, who is planning his Benefit Year in 2015 whilst also studying to gain coaching qualifications, enjoyed a really good August hitting those memorable consecutive hundred’s of 101 (at Warwickshire) and 120 (at Lords v Middlesex) in the RLODC also later scoring 45 in the same tournament and 42 in the LV=CC.

Tregs, who signed a new contract at the end of the season that ties him to Somerset until the end of 2016, picked up 50% of the votes beating Tom Abell (25%) with the other 25% of votes being shared out between Jack Leach, Colin Ingram and Lewis Gregory.
