Somerset skipper Marcus Trescothick is getting on his bike again this autumn to raise money for the club’s pavilion appeal – and you can be there with him.
Marcus and his team will take part in ‘Pedal for the Pavilion’, a 300-mile cycle ride over five days around some of the most beautiful parts of the West Country.
The event starts on Monday 29 September at St Austell in Cornwall and will make its way up to Bath via Plymouth, Exeter and Yeovil, before finishing at the County Ground in Taunton on Friday 3 October.
Entry to the event costs £50 per person plus a minimum of £200 sponsorship per day. This price includes lunch, water and snacks.

This isn’t the first time, of course, that Tres has got on his bike to raise money for a good cause. In 2011, he cycled 300 miles across the south west as part of Bangers Bike Ride, a fund-raising initiative for children’s hospices. Then last year Marcus, Jason Kerr and Jos Buttler took part in the Big Bike Ride in aid of the PCA Benevolent Fund and the Tom Maynard Trust, cycling 441 miles in five days.
We wish Tres and all those taking part the very best for the event and hope they raise lots of money.
If any readers of The InCider sign up to take part, please let us know and we’ll be happy to feature your story and any photographs on the website and promote your fundraising efforts.
