On Friday evening the team at Somerset County Sports were delighted to host the launch of Somerset’s official NatWest T20 Blast shirt for 2015, with the unveiling of the new design being made in front of a select group of people in their shop based at the County Ground.
Fans favorites Peter Trego and Alfonso Thomas were the players doubling up as ‘glamorous’ models on the night.
It was an invitation only event and among those invited were representatives from all the major club sponsors – Tribute, MJ Baker, Harris Fowler and kit makers Kukri.
Also in attendance were five lucky competition winners who were handed the chance to ask Tregs and Thommo a few questions before being presented with their winning shirts.
The new design drew a favourable response from both Somerset players present and Tregs was quoted as saying: “I’m sure there will be plenty of cider spilt over them in the 2015 season!”
Somerset CCC players helped with the development of the hooped design shirt, which has attracted a lot of interest from members already looking ahead to the 2015 season and hoping to see the cider boys play well in the T20 tournament next season.
Richard Brice, MD of Somerset County Sports had this to say: “The shirt has gone down really well with the fans of Somerset CCC, the traditional maroon and black colours are stand outs, and its sure to be a big hit on and off the field.”
Supporters were able to purchase the new shirts from 9am on Saturday and sales have been very brisk since so make sure you pop down to the club shop soon if you want to buy the shirt for yourself or for a loved one at Christmas.
